A Host presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Host also greets guests upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, monitors a waiting list, enters guest names into the computer system, shows guests to their table and bids guests farewell as they leave.
Host Responsibilities:
Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's name
Use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
Inform guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service
Manage the flow of guests into the Dining and Bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate

Bartender:
Bartenders serve cocktails and exciting new beverages to customers. The Bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, create recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.
To succeed as a Bartender, you should have a neat appearance and engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Bartender Responsibilities:

Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips, and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.

The primary task of the Runner is to deliver food from the exposition stations to the tables. In addition to understanding the process the kitchen uses to prepare and plate food orders, the Runner will need to have a strong understanding of the menu and food presentation. The Runner will communicate with Servers to ensure all food is delivered to customers and support Bussers by assisting in the clearing and resetting of tables. Candidates should be efficient, attentive and have strong customer service skills.

To be successful in this job, you will need a thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation. Culinary school education is preferred, and prior experience in a related position is an advantage.
