Job Description

The primary task of the Runner is to deliver food from the exposition stations to the tables. In addition to understanding the process the kitchen uses to prepare and plate food orders, the Runner will need to have a strong understanding of the menu and food presentation. The Runner will communicate with Servers to ensure all food is delivered to customers and support Bussers by assisting in the clearing and resetting of tables. Candidates should be efficient, attentive and have strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with restaurant staff to create a positive dining experience for guests.

  2. Work with Servers to ensure smooth food delivery process from expo to tables

  3. Alert Servers when tables are in need of attention.

  4. Present plated food to customers with confirmation of each dish to the guest

  5. Ready to step in and assist Bussers with clearing, cleaning and resetting tables

  6. Be able to remain focused and on-task during busy hours.

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma/GED.

  2. Previous restaurant experience highly preferred

  3. Strong knowledge of the menu offerings, dish ingredients and ability to explain it to customers

  4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  5. Eye for details.

  6. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

  7. Willing to stand or walk for extended periods.

  8. Availability to work evenings and on weekends, including holidays.
